Reenactors at cannon
Visitors enjoy the opportunity to interact with reenactors.

With the exception of well attended Museum events or occasional heavy park usage for recreational activities, there is adequate free parking for visitors and reenactors at Fort Ward Museum. On special events days, you may be directed by Museum staff to park in areas set aside for reenactors. This is also true for overnight campers and sutlers.

For individuals who must unload large quantities of equipment or goods, Museum staff will supervise temporary parking provisions. In all instances, vehicles driven by reenactors and sutlers must be removed from the living history areas in public view prior to the start of the event and must remain away from the area until the conclusion of activities.
