Historic Sites abound on Jones Point. Archaeologists may find 17th19th century taverns, homes, gardens, forts, a quarantine house, a fish weir, D.C. Boundary survey team camp, a home of one of Washington's freed slaves, Civil War slaughter house, and African American religious and recreational places.
